Julie has extensive senior executive experience, accountable clinically for diverse population health services, including chronic disease management programs, military health, hospital substitution, home care and mental health services, gained in an ASX-listed environment. She has expertise in the commissioning, co-design, scaling, clinical governance, risk and quality management of both F2F and digital programs, designed to empower populations, utilising complex supply chains. Julie now assists organisations to develop approaches to risk management, health service design and clinical governance “right-sized” for their clinical risk profile and strategic direction. She is currently an External Adviser to the Clinical Governance Committee of a national mental health NFP, the Quality & Care Governance Board Sub-Committee of a QLD NFP health, aged care and community services provider and the Care & Safety Board SubCommittee of a NSW-ACT NFP provider of care, community, aged and family services.
In addition to qualifications in medicine, pharmacy, health management, occupational medicine, and corporate governance, Julie has trained in design thinking and health innovation at Stanford University, California.
Julie is driven to ensure the voice of the health care consumer and clinicians is heard at all levels of organisations and considered in all key decisions and enjoys mentoring young health professionals who are exploring alternative careers in health.
